Repair Procedures: Adjustment

After replacing ETC module or ECM, the ETC adaptive value must be reset / relearned according to the following procedure.

  1. Check DTC(s) and clear if exist.
  2. Select "Data Treatment", to reset the ETC adaptive value.

  4. Select "Resetting adaptive values".

  6. Select "Reset", then wait 10 seconds after turning ignition key off (Relay OFF).

  8. Wait for 5 seconds after turning the ignition ON (ETC adaptive value relearn).

    If equipped with Button Engine Start System, push the engine start/stop button 2 times without depressing the brake pedal.

    This will allow the ECM to automatically learn the throttle valve position; then wait for approximately 5 seconds.

    Enable conditions : Battery > 10V, Intake Air Temp. > 5.3°C (41.5°F), 5.3°C (41.5°F) < Engine Coolant Temp. < 99.8°C (211.6°F)

  9. Start Engine.
  10. Recheck DTC(s).
