General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Reverse gear signal monitoring
  1. Open or short Gear R switch (Transaxle range switch) [A/T]
  2. Faulty Gear R switch (Transaxle range switch) [A/T]
  3. Open or short Back-up lamp switch [M/T]
  4. Faulty Back-up lamp switch [M/T]
  5. Faulty Back-up lamp switch [M/T
Monitoring Period
  • Continuous
Enable Conditions
  • When Vref > 60kph(37mile) and reverse gear switch state is active for 1minute.
  • During backward driving, reverse gear switch state is inactive for 1minute.
  • If the reverse gear switch state changed more than 40 times for 5sec.
Fail-Safe
  • Inhibit the HAC control and allow the ABS/EBD/ESC control
