General Information: General Description
- The secret key code is programmed in memory of Smart Key ECM/PCM, PDM, FOB key
- The learnt FOB Key identifiers are stored in Smart Key ECM/PCM and PDM memory.
- Corresponding PIN code is learnt and memorized in the Engine ECM/PCM
Communication between smart key ECM/PCM and ECM/PCM has 2 phase that is IG ON and Engine ON.
After this first IG ON transition phase or starting phase, a communication between Smart Key ECM/PCM and Engine ECM/PCM takes place.
- IG ON Phase (FOB key or Fob Key in Fob holder)
- Communication between Smart key ECM/PCM and ECM/PCM starts from wake-up signal from ECM/PCM.
- After receiving wake-up signal from ECM/PCM, Smart Key ECM/PCM sends lock or unlock starting signal to ECM/PCM.
- Starting Phase (FOB key or FOB key in Fob Holder)
- In case driver tries to start engine, although Engine ECM/PCM is locked status for starting at IG ON, Engine ECM/PCM should send re-authentication to Smart Key ECM/PCM. According to the results of re-authentication, it would be decided to start engine or not.
he Engine ECM/PCM controls the engine, in a normal way for starting and running, and starts communication with the Smart Key ECM/PCM, sending a PIN request to the Smart Key ECM/PCM and waiting for valid release message from it until the release time period has ended.
In case of Smart Key ECM/PCM immobilizer function is locked, the Smart Key ECM/PCM answer is the no release message. Engine ECM/PCM enters in the locked state, which causes the activation of the mobilization actions of the engine.
In case of Smart Key ECM/PCM immobilizer function state is released, the Smart Key ECM/PCM answer is the release message, including the information Smart Key ECM/PCM in learnt mode and the PIN code.
- In case driver tries to start engine, although Engine ECM/PCM is locked status for starting at IG ON, Engine ECM/PCM should send re-authentication to Smart Key ECM/PCM. According to the results of re-authentication, it would be decided to start engine or not.
