PCM/TCM Inspection

  1. Ignition off & Engine Off.
  2. Disconnect "ATM solenoid valve connector.
  3. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC) and select Simulation mode.
  4. Input specification frequency to signal of Output speed sensor by simulation mode.

    * The values are subject to change according to vehicle model or conditions.

  5. Is measured Output speed sensor value changed by Output frequency?

    YES 

    Substitute with a known-good Input speed sensor and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR  procedure.

    NO 

    Substitute with a known-good PCM/TCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM/TCM and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR  procedure.
