Monitor Scantool Data

  1. Ignition ON (SSB LED "BLUE") & Vehicle "STOP".
  2. Connect GDS and select "Data Analysis" mode.
  3. Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "ECU Ready" parameter.

  4. Is the measured data within specifications?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or Control module's connector or was repaired and Control module's memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Monitoring with a DVOM on min/max or VMI while wiggling connectors may help find the problem. Any change in voltage indicate a possible problem. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • If there is a fault related Immobilizer or CAN, After diagnosing Engine ECU and SMK ECU, check and repair this fault first. Then, Check this DTC P1679 is set.
    • Substitute with a known-good Engine ECU and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Engine ECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
