Monitor GDS Data

  1. Connect GDS and select "DTC Analysis" mode
  2. Confirm that "DTC Readiness Flag" indicates "COMPLETED". If not, drive the vehicle within conditions noted in the freeze frame data or enable conditions.
  3. Read "DTC Status"parameter in DTC menu of the GDS.

  4. Is parameter displayed "History(Not Present) fault" ?

    YES 

    Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection and/or HECU's connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared.

    Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR  procedure.

    NO 

    Go to next step

    Specification :  ESC (ESP) switch parameter changed ON / OFF starts.

  5. Whenever the switch is pushed up/down, is the ESC (ESP) off switch's GDS data changed ON/OFF?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in ESC (ESP) switch line or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR  procedure.

    NO
