Signal Circuit Inspection

Check voltage
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect IATS connector.
2. IG "ON" and ENG "OFF"
3. Measure voltage between terminal 4 of IATS harness connector and chassis ground.
  Specification: Prix. 5V

4. Is the measured voltage within specification?
  YES
  - Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
  NO
  - Go to step 2 Check short to ground in harness" procedure.
Check short to ground in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect IATS connector and ECM connector.
2. Measure resistance between terminal 4 of IATS harness connector and chassis ground.
3. Measure resistance between terminals 4 and 5 of IATS harness connector.
4. Measure resistance between terminals 4 and 3 of IATS harness connector.
  Specification: Infinite

5. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  - Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
  NO
  - Repair short to ground in harness and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
