Power Steering Oil Pump: Installation

  1. Install the power steering pump and tighten the mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque N.m (kgf.m, lb-ft): 

    17-26 (1.7-2.6, 12-19)

    Tightening torque N.m (kgf.m, lb-ft): 

    35-50 (3.5-5.0, 25-36)

  2. Connect the suction hose (B) with suction pipe.
  3. Connect the pressure tube (A) to power steering pump by tightening the eye bolt.

    Tightening torque N.m (kgf.m, lb-ft): 

    55-65 (5.5-6.5, 36-47)

  4. Install the drive belt.
  5. Add power steering fluid to reservoir.
  6. Bleed the power steering system. (Refer to AIR BLEEDING )
  7. Check power steering pump relief pressure. (Refer to OIL PUMP PRESSURE TEST (OIL PUMP RELIEF PRESSURE) )
