Stop Light Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the switch.
    2. Measure the resistance of the switch.

    Standard resistance 

    SPECIFIED CONDITION AND TESTER CONNECTION

    Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
    1 - 2 Pushed 10 k ohms or higher
    1 - 2 Not pushed Below 1 ohms
    3 - 4 Pushed Below 1 ohms
    3 - 4 Not pushed 10 k ohms or higher

    If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
