DTC P0463: Fuel Level Sensor A Circuit High Input: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Change in output voltage and output voltage are monitored.
  • Poor connection
  • Open or short to ground in Fuel Level Sensor (FLS) circuit
  • Faulty Fuel Level Sensor
  • Faulty ECM
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage is greater than or equal to 10V
  • Time after start > 10 sec.
Threshold value
  • Change in output voltage < 0.039V and Output voltage is less than or equal to 0.059V
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • No MIL ON
