DTC P0300: Random Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Fluctuation of crank angular acceleration is monitored.
  • Faulty Spark plugs
  • Faulty Spark plug cables
  • Air Leakage
  • Belt deflection and Air gap of CKPS
  • Incorrect timing
  • Faulty injector
  • Improper fuel pressure
  • Improper engine compression
  • Faulty ECM
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • Engine speed: 500 rpm ~ 6187 rpm
  • Load value = 11~100%
  • Fuel cut = off
Threshold value
  • Misfire ratio within 1000 revs > 1.4%
Diagnosis Time
  • 1000 revolutions Continuous
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • Engine coolant > -7°C (19.4°F)
  • Intake air temp. at start > -7°C (19.4°F)
  • No sudden acceleration
  • No sudden deceleration
Threshold value
  • Misfire ratio within 200 revs > 10~25%
Diagnosis Time
  • 200 revolutions Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
