General Information: DTC Detecting Condition
DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES
| Item |
Detecting Condition |
Possible Cause |
| DTC Strategy |
- Calculation of engine roughness
|
- Faulty spark plugs, high-tension lead, or Ignition coil
- Incorrect valve timing
- Uneven compression
- Air leakage
- Improper Fuel pressure or dirty fuel.
- Blocked/Leaking injectors
- Leakage between cooling system and cylinder
|
| Enable Conditions |
- Mass air flow above zero load curve: 60~180 mg/stk (0.1~0.4 mlb/stk) (depends on N)
- Engine speed: 600~6500 rpm
- Mass air flow gradient: 0.42~118 mg (0~0.3 mlb)/stk/seg.
- Throttle gradient: 11~1160° TPS/sec.
- Ignition retard: 20° CRK/seg.
- A/C compressor switched ON/OFF
- No rough road
- No relevant failure
- Battery voltage > 11V

|
| Case 1) |
Threshold Value |
- Misfire rate = 7~33% within 200 rev.
|
| Diagnosis Time |
- 3 * 200 revolution continuous
|
|
| Case 2) |
Threshold Value |
- First 1000 rev. Misfire rate > 1% (AT)/2% (MT)
- After first 1000 rev. Misfire rate > 1% (AT)/2% (MT)
|
| Diagnosis Time |
- 1000 revolution continuous
- 4 * 1000 revolution continuous
