Signal Circuit Inspection

Check for short to battery in harness
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect APS connector.
3. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF"
4. Measure voltage between terminal "6" of APS harness connector and chassis ground.
  Specification: Approx.0V

5. Is the measured voltage within specifications?
  YES
  - Go to "GROUND CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
  NO
  - Check for short to battery in signal harness, Repair replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
