Component Inspection

  1. Ignition "ON"
  2. Detach Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor
  3. Apply vacuum to Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor.
  4. Check if the sensor's output voltage decrease when vauum is applied to the sensor.
NOTE: If vacuum is applied severely to sensor, it may damage the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. So, you must do it within specification.

Specification: Refer to the below PRESSURE REFERENCE

    PRESSURE REFERENCE

  5. Is the measured resistance within specifications ?

    Yes

    • Substitute with a known - good PCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO

    • Substitute with a known - good FTPS and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace FTPS and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
