Component Inspection

  1. IG KEY: OFF, Engine: OFF
  2. Disconnect HO2S connector (B-27).
  3. Measure resistance between terminals 3 and 4 of the HO2S connector B-27.
    1. Specification: 11~14Ω (at 20°C (68°F))

  4. Is the resistance near the specified value?

    YES

    1. HO2S heater is OK.
    2. Possibility of ECM fail.
    3. Test with a new ECM sensor and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace ECM. And go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO

    1. Test with a new HO2S and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HO2S.
    2. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
