General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Real engine speed & target engine speed are monitored
  • Poor connection
  • Air leakage
  • Hoses for crack/connection
  • Malfunctioning ISCA
  • Open or short in ISCA circuit
  • Malfunctioning TPS
  • Purge control solenoid valve (PCSV)
  • Malfunctioning Accelerator cable
  • Malfunctioning PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Idle speed control "ON"
  • Engine coolant greater than or equal to 77°C (170.6°F)
  • Battery voltage greater than or equal to 10.3V
  • Vehicle speed = 0
Threshold value
  • Real engine speed > Target engine speed + 200 rpm (time that above fulfilled greater than or equal to 10 sec)
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON condition
  • 2 driving cycles
