DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Output voltage and Change in fuel-level voltage (VFLI) is monitored.
  • Poor connection
  • Open or short to ground in Fuel Level Sensor (FLS) circuit
  • Malfunctioning Fuel Level Sensor (FLS)
  • Malfunctioning PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage greater than or equal to 10V
  • Time after start > 10 sec.
Threshold value
  • Output voltage < 0.059V
  • VFLI for 300 sec (Vs > 0) < 0.039V
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON condition
  • 2 driving cycles
