Monitor Scantool Data

  1. Install Scantool and select the "Current data" mode on scantool.
  2. Check the "IAT SENSOR" parameter on scantool.
    1. Specification:
      IAT SPECIFICATION REFERENCE CHART

      Resistance (kΩ) 45.3 25.6 15.1 5.8 2.5 0.33 0.19 0.16 0.13

      (error range is 2~3%.)

  3. Is the IAT sensor signal within specifications?

    YES

    1. Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or PCM's connector.
    2. Fault was repaired and PCM memory was not cleared.
    3. If the problem has been corrected, Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO

    1. Go to "INSPECTION & REPAIR " procedure.

    1. Service Data: Scantool provides two parameters for the IAT sensor.

      IAT SENSOR °C (°F)
