Check MAP sensor

Ignition "OFF"
Disconnect MAP sensor connector.
Measure resistance between terminals "2" and "4" of the MAP sensor connector.
1. Specification: Approx. 30 kΩ at 20 °C (68 °F)
Connect MAP sensor connector.
Remove the MAP sensor and Ignition "ON".

Using s hand-held vacuum pump, apply vacuum and measure the "MAP SENSOR" parameter on scantool.

Is the sensor's signal within specifications?
YES
1. Substitute with a known-good PCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
1. Substitute with a known-good MAP sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace MAP sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
