Check IG Failure Sensor

  1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "ON"
  2. Connect IG failure sensor connector and PCM connector.
  3. Check IG failure sensor's signal on scantool.
    1. Specification: Approx. 0 ~ 10V (At idle state)
  4. Is IG failure sensor normal?

    YES

    1. Substitute with a known-good PCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO

    1. Substitute with a known-good IG failure sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace IG failure sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
