Power Liftgate Module

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM .
    NOTE:

    It is not necessary to completely remove the quarter panel trim. Just release it from the quarter and position it aside to gain access to the power liftgate module.

  2. Partially remove the right quarter trim panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    1 - Power LiftGate Module (PLGM)
    2 - Wire Harness Connectors
  3. Disconnect the Power LiftGate Module (PLGM) wire harness connector.

    1 - Latch Feature
  4. Press the latch feature of the PLGM housing and pull the PLGM out and away from the body.
  5. Remove the PLGM from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
