Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE CONDITION 

1. Cycle the ignition off and back on.
2. Test drive the vehicle and operate the Set (+), Set (-), Resume and Cancel functions of the speed control system. The scan tool will display the fault as active only when a Speed Control Switch is pressed.
3. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.

   Does the scan tool display this DTC as active or pending?

   Yes 

   • Replace the Speed Control Switch Assembly in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SWITCH, SPEED CONTROL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . Test drive the vehicle and operate the Set (+) and Resume buttons functions of the speed control system to verify repair.
   • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .

   No 

   • Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
