Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Lower the top portion of the liftgate weatherstrip.

  3. With a suitable tool, remove the retainers (2).

  4. Slightly lower the rear of the headliner and disconnect the wire harness connectors (1) of the Radio Frequency Hub (RFH).
  5. Remove the fasteners (2a) and remove the RFH (2b).
