Power Top Control Module (PTCM) Retractable Roof
NOTE:
There are two power top roof motors equipped on this vehicle. The following procedural graphics are of the master motor with Power Top Control Module (PTCM), or right side motor. The left side motor, or the slave motor with no PTCM, is removed and installed in the same manner.
REMOVAL
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to 2.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM and/or 2.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM and/or 2.0L, 12-VOLT BATTERY DISCONNECT/CONNECT - PHEV and/or 3.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM and/or 3.6L, BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM and/or 3.6L, HYBRID, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM and/or 6.4L, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM .
- Remove the motor trim panel cover.
1 - Fasteners 2 - Roof Motor - Disconnect the wire harness connector from the power top roof motor.
- Remove the fasteners securing the power top roof motor to the trim panel.
- Remove the power top roof motor from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Perform calibration of the power top roof system
