Video Routing Module
DESCRIPTION
The video entertainment system consists of:
- Video Routing Module (VRM) (1) located behind the left quarter trim panel on long wheelbase option
- Video Routing Module (VRM) located under the second row seat on short wheelbase option
- Two media system monitors located on the seat backs of the front seats
- Front Passenger Display Module (FPDM) located in the instrument panel in front of the passenger seating area
- Radio located behind the Display Screen Module (DSM) in the center stack
OPERATION
The VRM routes audio and video signals from the front, left and right media system monitor USB and HDMI input ports to the vehicle's video screens. The signals are sent via individual Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) wire harnesses. The VRM monitors the input and output signals for any wiring or connection concerns.
The VRM communicates with the radio using an Ethernet connection and also the Controller Area Network - Flex Data (CAN-FD) data bus. The Ethernet connection is found on models equipped with an R1M or R1H radio only; R1L radios do not have this connection.
The VRM receives a fused B(+) from a 10 amp fuse in the rear Power Distribution Center (PDC). Ground is continuously supplied via an eyelet connected to a ground stud at the left rear below the load floor.
