Active Sway Bar System Module: Notes

COMPONENT INDEX

1. Refer to ELECTRONIC VEHICLE INFORMATION CENTER (EVIC)/INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
2. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .
3. Refer to ACTIVE SWAY BAR SYSTEM (ASBS) SWITCH .
4. Refer to ACTIVE SWAY BAR SYSTEM (ASBS) MODULE .

The active sway bar is a motor driven unit that engages and disengages the stabilizer bar.

The ASBS switch is located in the right rear portion of the Electronic Shift Module (ESM).

OPERATION 

The ASBS module will disengage the active sway bar under the following conditions:

NOTE:

The normal state of the active sway bar is LOCKED unless it has been UNLOCKED by request from the ASBS switch to the BCM and the disengaging conditions exist.
