STEP	OPERATION TO BE CARRIED OUT	OK (NO FAULTS DETECTED)	FAULT DETECTED	OPERATION
1	SECOND IGNITION KEY OPERATION CHECK Check whether, with the second ignition key, the operating mechanism is still difficult to operate.	Go to step 2.	Difficult movement.	Go to Step 3.
2	IGNITION KEY CODING CHECK Check that coding of the ignition key is correct.	End of diagnosis.	Incorrect coding of the ignition key.	Replace the ignition key.
3	IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER CONDITION CHECK Check for the presence of signs of a break-in on the lock cylinder.	Go to Step 4.	Presence of signs of a break-in on the ignition lock cylinder.	Replace the ignition lock cylinder.
4	KEY HOUSING OPERATION CHECK Spray a modest quantity of lock cylinder lubricant through the key housing (in order not to foul the aesthetic parts). Try again to insert the key.	End of diagnosis.	Difficult movement.	Replace the ignition lock cylinder.
