Axle Locker Switch Connector

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

2. Disconnect the axle locker switch wire harness connector from the axle locker switch and remove the axle locker switch bolt.

3. Remove the axle locker switch from the axle housing.
   NOTE:

   The wire harness from the switch to the locker is a union with connectors at each end. The differential cover does not need to be removed to remove/replace the switch.

4. Disconnect the axle locker wire harness connector from the axle locker switch.
5. Remove the axle locker switch.

INSTALLATION 

During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

• Apply a light coating of grease to the O-ring seal to prevent tearing or cutting the seal.
• Tighten the axle locker switch bolt securely.
• Verify the axle locker is operating correctly.
