Sensor, Wheel Speed, Rear: Installation

  1. Install the Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) (5) into the knuckle.
  2. Install the rear wheel speed sensor bolt (6) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

    NOTE:

    On vehicles with off road suspension only, ensure that the tie strap gets placed in the same location that it was removed from, for proper wheel speed sensor wiring harness routing.

  3. Route wheel speed sensor cable and snap into clips and retainers.
  4. Connect wheel speed sensor cable connector (1) to body wiring harness connector.
  5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
