Damper, Vibration: Removal

  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL, 3.6L .
    NOTE:

    A force greater than 350 Nm (260 ft. lbs.) may be required to remove the crankshaft vibration damper bolt.

  2. Hold the crankshaft vibration damper (1) with Vibration Damper Holder (special tool #10198, Holder, Vibration Damper) (2) and remove the crankshaft vibration damper bolt.
  3. Pull the crankshaft vibration damper (1) from the crankshaft.
