Mp2010 Transfer Case (Service Information): Installation

1. Mount transfer case on a transmission jack.
2. Secure transfer case to jack with chains.
3. Position transfer case under vehicle.
4. Align transfer case and transmission (1) shafts and install transfer case onto the transmission.
5. Install and tighten all transfer case attaching bolts (2) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
6. Connect front driveshaft and install rear driveshaft. Refer to SHAFT, DRIVE, REAR, INSTALLATION and SHAFT, DRIVE, FRONT, INSTALLATION .

7. Remove transfer case fill plug (2).
8. Fill transfer case with correct fluid. Refer to FLUID DRAIN/REFILL  .
9. Install the transfer case fill plug (2) and tighten the plug to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
10. Install rear crossmember and skid plate, if equipped. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, REAR, INSTALLATION and PLATE, SKID, TRANSFER CASE, INSTALLATION .
11. Remove transmission jack and support stand.
12. Lower vehicle and verify transfer case operation.
