Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the gear shift knob. Refer to KNOB, GEARSHIFT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

2. Remove the lift ring spring (1) from on top of the lift ring.

3. Remove the lift ring (1).

4. Using a trim stick or equivalent, separate the gearshift boot (1) from the floor console while gently pulling up on the boot fabric.
5. Remove the gearshift boot from the shifter.

INSTALLATION 

1. With the shift knob removed, place the gearshift boot in position over the shift lever.

2. Install the gearshift boot (1) and press it firmly into the floor console to engage the retention clips.

3. Install the lift ring (1).

4. Install the lift ring spring (1).
5. Install the shifter knob. Refer to KNOB, GEARSHIFT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
