Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

If a NEW  Security Gateway (SGW) module is being installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the module. Failure to flash the module will leave the SGW module in a locked mode preventing SGW module operation.

NOTE:

The SGW module is mounted to the back side of the speaker enclosure.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the driver side speaker enclosure from the instrument panel. Refer to ENCLOSURE, SPEAKER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Disconnect the SGW module wire harness connectors.
  4. Remove the three bolts (1).
  5. Remove the SGW module from the vehicle.
