Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE:

If a NEW  SGW module is being installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the module. Failure to flash the module will leave the SGW module in a locked mode preventing SGW module operation.

  1. Position the SGW module to the back side of the speaker enclosure.
  2. Install the SGW module bolts and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect the SGW module wire harness connectors.
  4. Install the driver side speaker enclosure in the instrument panel. Refer to ENCLOSURE, SPEAKER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  6. If this module has been replaced, refer to MODULE, SECURITY GATEWAY (SGW), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
  7. If a NEW  SGW module is installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the SGW module.
