DESCRIPTION
The Power Top Control Module (PTCM) (1) is secured to the power top roof master motor in the right center rear of the vehicle. The motor and module are replaced as a single unit. As indicated in the graphic, there are two motors to this system. However, the right side motor is the only unit that contains the PTCM. When the PTCM is replaced, power top calibration must be performed. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

PTCM inputs/outputs:
Inputs
- Commanded ignition state and remote start active signals from the Body Control Module (BCM)
- Vehicle speed gated from the BCM
- Ambient temperature
- Power top roof open and close requests from the power top roof switch located in the overhead console
- Vehicle configuration data from the BCM
Outputs
- Power top roof state to the BCM
- Power top roof commands to the power top roof motors
