Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect the right door wire harness connector and anchor clip.
  3. Remove the right front door check strap. Refer to CHECK, DOOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove the door cowl trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
    NOTE:

    The Body Control Module (BCM) is covered in a water shield which can be lifted up to access the lower mounting bolts. Water shield is removed in images for clarity.

  5. Remove the mounting bracket nuts (1) from the BCM.
  6. Remove the BCM from the vehicle mounting bracket.

  7. Disconnect the BCM wire harness connectors (1) and remove the BCM from the vehicle
