Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the BCM to the vehicle for installation.
  2. Connect the BCM wire harness connectors (1).
    NOTE:

    Install water shield before next step. Water shield was removed in images for clarity.

  3. Position the BCM in the vehicle mounting bracket.
  4. Install the mounting bracket nuts (1) for the BCM and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install the door cowl trim cover. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the right front door check strap. Refer to CHECK, DOOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the door wire harness connector and anchor clip.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  9. Perform BCM programming. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL (BCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
    NOTE:

    If the BCM does not program, please disconnect the battery, wait 15 seconds, reconnect the battery and run the BCM immobilizer replace routine again.
