Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the passenger air bag. Refer to AIR BAG, PASSENGER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Working within the Instrument Panel (IP), disconnect the wire harness connector (3) from the compass module.
  4. Remove the compass module to instrument panel fasteners (2).
  5. Remove the compass module (1) from the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Position the compass module.
  2. Install the compass module to instrument panel fasteners and securely tighten.
  3. Connect the wire harness connector to the compass module.
  4. Install the passenger air bag. Refer to AIR BAG, PASSENGER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
