Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Perform any Service Bulletins that may apply.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read ASCM DTCs and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, read and record Environmental Data to help identify the conditions in which the DTC was set.
- With the scan tool, erase ASCM DTCs.
- Start the engine.
- With the scan tool, read ASCM DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Go To 3
- AIR SUSPENSION RIDE HEIGHT SENSORS NOT CALIBRATED NOTE:
Verify no Compressor (Blown fuse, Low/no voltage, etc.) or Low Mass Issues exist prior to proceeding with Calibration to ensure that vehicle can reach and maintain Normal Ride Height.
- Calibrate the ride height sensors in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SENSOR, HEIGHT, INSTALLATION .
- With the scan tool, read the DTCs in the ASCM.
Does the DTC remain active?
Yes
- Replace the Air Suspension Control Module (ASCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL (ASCM), REMOVAL .
- Perform the ASCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to ASCM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
- Perform the ASCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to ASCM VERIFICATION TEST .
- INTERMITTENT WIRING, CONNECTORS AND AIR LINES
- Inspect the intake and exhaust air lines for restrictions, debris, or contamination.
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring harness and connectors.
- Wiggle test the wiring harness and connectors while monitoring the scan tool data relative to this circuit.
- While monitoring the scan tool data relative to this circuit, move the air suspension switch to each position several times.
- Look for the data to change other than as expected or for the DTC to reset.
Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the ASCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to ASCM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
