Body Control Module (BCM)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)

Refer to COMPONENT INDEX .

The BCM is one of two gateways on this vehicle with the other being the Security Gateway Module. The BCM converts several CAN-Flexible Date (CAN-FD) and CAN-Chassis1 (CAN-C1) messages between the networks that allows other modules on this vehicle to communicate with each other.

The BCM is responsible for transmitting IPC screen display status requests over the CAN-C and also transmits that the NVPM is present on the CAN-FD.
