  1. Remove liftgate scuff trim. Refer to PLATE, SCUFF, LIFTGATE, REMOVAL .
  2. Loosen the hinge to liftgate bolts (1).

  3. Loosen the striker screws (1).
  4. Adjust the liftgate up/down position and tighten the hinge bolts to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.). Refer to GAP AND FLUSH, SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Confirm the lower liftgate in/out position and tighten the striker screws to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  6. Replace liftgate scuff plate trim. Refer to PLATE, SCUFF, LIFTGATE, INSTALLATION .
