Sensor, Knock: Installation: 6.2L

CAUTION:

Over or under tightening the knock sensor mounting bolts will affect knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control.

  1. Install the knock sensor (1) onto the cylinder block.
  2. Tighten the bolt (2) to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Connect the knock sensor wire harness connector (5).

  4. Snap the heat shield (1) onto the knock sensor.
  5. Install the front skid plate. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
