Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  2. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) for the clutch pedal switch (4).
  3. Retract the clip (2) securing the clutch pedal pin (3).
    NOTE:

    Verify that the clutch pedal pin retaining clip is fully retracted.

  4. Rotate the lever (3) counter clockwise and partially remove it from its seat.
  5. Remove the clutch pedal switch (4) from the clutch pedal releasing the fastening pin (3).

INSTALLATION

  1. Position the clutch pedal switch into position and engage the fastening tooth (a) in the correct slot (b) of the pedal support.
  2. Slightly move the clutch pedal switch so that it lays flat with the fastening lever (c) and hole (d).
  3. Rotate the fastening lever (c) clockwise to the locked position (e).
    NOTE:

    When the lever is fully is fully closed an audible click will be heard.

  4. Connect the wire harness electrical connector to the clutch pedal switch.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
