Module, Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM): Installation: Installation

NOTE:
Fuel filler tube and hoses removed for clarity.
- Position the tire pressure monitor module (3) on the studs (2), install the two mounting nuts (4) and torque to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.).
- Connect wiring harness connector (1).
- Install the left rear wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, WHEELHOUSE, INSTALLATION .
- Install the wheel. Refer to WHEELS, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
- Perform one of the following to make the system learn the new sensor ID.
- Use the TPM-RKE Analyzer 9936, with the Scan Tool to program the TPM Module with the tire pressure sensor ID. This is part of the TPM programming procedure. Refer to MODULE, TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING (TPM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
- Once the vehicle has remained stationary for more than 20 minutes, drive vehicle for a minimum of 20 minutes while maintaining a continuous speed above 15 mph (24 km/h). During this time, the system will learn the new sensor ID.
