Diagnostic Test

MILEAGE NOT PROGRAMMED IN THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) 

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With a scan tool, erase DTCs.
3. With the scan tool, program the vehicle mileage into the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
4. Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.

   Is the DTC active or pending?

   Yes 

   • Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
   • Perform the PCM VERIFICATION Test. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .

   No 

   • Test complete.
   • Perform the PCM VERIFICATION Test. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
