Diagnostic Test

DTC PRESENT IN TRANSMISSION CONTROLLER 

NOTE:

The TCM sends a request to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to shut the engine off when it detects certain malfunctions in the transmission.

  1. This is an informational DTC to inform you that there is a DTC stored in the Transmission Control Module.
  2. Erase this DTC from the PCM after all Transmission DTCs have been repaired.
  3. Using a scan tool, read the Transmission Controller DTC. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 8HP70 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION and perform the appropriate symptom.
