Sensor, Water In Fuel: Installation: Installation

  1. Clean the O-ring sealing area of housing.
    NOTE:

    Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean diesel fluid.

  2. Install a new O-ring seal (1) onto Water in Fuel (WIF) sensor (2).

  3. Install the WIF sensor (5) and securely tighten WIF sensor.
  4. Connect the water in fuel sensor harness connector (4)
  5. Install the underbody splash shield.
  6. Install the transmission skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, TRANSMISSION, INSTALLATION .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
