Sensor, Differential Pressure: Installation: Installation

  1. Install the differential pressure sensor (3). Tighten nut (2) to 11 N.m (97 in. lbs.).
  2. Connect the differential pressure sensor wire harness connector (1).
  3. If necessary, install the mounting nut securing the differential pressure sensor to the steady rest mount and tighten to 11 N.m (97 in. lbs.).
    NOTE:

    Before installing, inspect both pressure hoses (4) and make sure there is not any dip across the hoses. In cases where water is frozen, a dip across the hoses can cause condensation which can set a MIL.

  4. Install the diesel particulate filter. Refer to FILTER, DIESEL PARTICULATE, INSTALLATION .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
