Sentry Key Immobilizer System Initialization

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Chrysler 300 and 2019 Chrysler 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS) must be initialized following a Radio Frequency Hub (RF-Hub) replacement. SKIS initialization requires the use of a diagnostic scan tool. Initialization will also require that you have access to the unique four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) code that was assigned to the original RF-Hub. The PIN code must  be used to enter the Secured Access Mode in the RF-Hub. This PIN number may be obtained from the vehicle owner, from the original vehicle invoice or from the Customer Center. Refer to IMMOBILIZER COMPONENTS AND REPLACEMENT GUIDE .

NOTE:

If a Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or a shaft lock module is replaced on a vehicle equipped with the SKIS, the unique Secret Key data must be transferred from the RF-Hub to the new PCM or shaft lock module using the appropriate programming procedure. This procedure also requires the use of a diagnostic scan tool and the unique four-digit PIN code to enter the Secured Access Mode in the RF-Hub. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic information for the proper PCM or shaft lock module programming procedures.
