Differential/Ring Gear Assembly

Fig 1: Removing/Installing Pinion Shaft

Install pinion shaft (1), pinion gears (3) and thrust washers (2). Refer to Fig 1.

Using suitable punch, install new roll pin and install flush to differential case (1).

Install differential side gears (2) and thrust washers (1). Rotate into position.

Using Installer (special tool #9666, Installer, Bearing) (1), install new differential side bearing (ring gear side).

Using Installer (special tool #9665, Installer, Bearing) (1), install new differential side bearing (opposite side).
